Just-4-kids is a rental agency for all baby equipment ranging from car seats for all ages, prams, cots, playpens and many more items.
The concept of Just-4-kids was started very spontaneously. It just occurred to me one day that ever so often one needs certain items for the little ones in our lives, but do not want to spend so much money on buying the item which will only be used for a short while and then stand around gathering dust and taking up valuable space.
After doing a little market research I noticed that there was a definite demand for this type of rental business for the local public as well as the foreigners visiting our country. Within several weeks I had the business up and running and have been doing this since September 2008.
Although the word still has to get around and Namibians still have to get used to this type of business I am very optimistic for the future. At the moment I am running the business from my home, but the future plans are to get a fixed spot to serve walk-in clients.
How the rental works is that each item can be rented on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The client determines the time range and each category has a certain rate. The rental is paid up front together with a small deposit as security, which will be returned immediately to the client upon return of the item in good condition. A contract with terms & conditions is signed to protect both the client and Just-4-kids.
Since the future for Just-4-kids looks very good I have a lot of ideas buzzing in my head for the expansion of the business, but all will be revealed as the time is right.
